What a great gizmo! I'd love to have one in my driveway but even though I'm in Florida, I would guess Ukraine has more need of these APCs.
My impression from this thoughtful gift of very expensive but practical items is that now that Sweden is with us all in NATO, they're quite serious about taking a significant role, and that's truly great.
Great investment overall! Immense value to Ukraine and an investment in Swedenβs security as any weakening of Russia helps Swedens defensive position.
AWACS capabilities will really augment the F16βs capabilities too.
The 302 is a "battle taxi", not the "tip of the spear" so to say, and it's in that capacity it'll be used. As for armament, I'd rate the 20mm as slightly better than the M2, as it can fire a mix of ammo, including high-explosive armor-piercing incendiary (yeah they really packed everything and the kitchen sink into that kind of do-everything ammo).
Okay, finally got this squeezed into the podcast!! Shoutout to you and link in tomorrow's podcast. It'll be at the 24 min mark or so. (Podcast drops at 4:30 a.m.)
The U.S. needs to βflood the zoneβ with hardware; our surplus of military hardware is orders of magnitude greater than Swedenβs and weβve only sent 31 old M1A1; infuriating!
Thank you Sweden! πΈπͺπΊπ¦

Grippen?
Have we given them Strykers yet? That rings a bell somehow.
